Seediq
Seediq tribe was comfirmed as 14th indigenous people by council of Executive Yuan on Apr.23, 2008. Seediq people, referred as Seediq by the Atayal, call themselves as the Seediq. They reside in Renai township in Nantou County. The distributed area of Seediq is close to Atayal and Truku. The culture and customs of the Seediq are very similar with the Atayal and Truku. Seediq consist of Towda group and Tktaya group.The total number of populations is around 6,000-7,000 people (Aug, 2008), One of cultural customs is face tattoo as Atayal and Truku. The important handicraft were exquisite kitting of clothes with different pattern and bamboo, bamboo harmonica in their life.
