 Thao
The population of Thao tribeis about 643 peoples (Aug, 2008). The Thao live the Sun-Moon village beside the Sun-Moon lake at Nantou county. The important festival of Thao were Ancestor Basket Festival, Eel Festival (
mulalu matansun tuza), Hunting Festival (mulalu matansun pintuza) and Harvesting Festival (mulalu malhiqitin), Sowing Festival (Mulalu pispazaj) etc. The important handicraft is the leather making and kitting. The characteristic of Thao tribe were Dancing with food making and the way of fishing.
