Amis
The population of Amis tribe is about 176,160 peoples (Aug, 2008), ranked 1st. The Amis live in the lowland and seashore areas from northern part of Hualien county to Pingtung county. The important festival of Amis were Fishing festival, Harvesting Festival, Maliku-waai culture Festival and Sea Festival. The important handicraft were kitting of bamboo container, pottery and sculpture.
