 Yami
The population of Yami tribe is about 3,482 peoples (Aug, 2008), ranked 9th.The Yami live at the orchid island in the Taitung county. The important festival of Yami were God festival, Millet Harvesting Festival (mivaci), Flying-fish Festival (mivanwa), The Final Flying-fish Festival (manoigoyin), new house opening ceremony (mivazai), Hair-Throwing Dancing, The Broading Festival (mangegen) and Crop Festival. The important handicraft were kitting and traditional broad.
