Experience: Yu-Wen Wang, a native of Taiwan, completed his undergraduate degree at Tunghai University and he conducted advanced studies with Fabrice Moretti and Vincent David in France and with Dr. John Sampen in U.S.A., where he received international acclaim and a multitude of academic honors, including:
*The Prix de Perfectionnement awarded by Ecole Nationale de Musique de Bourg-la-Reine. *The 1st Prize in Saxophone Performance and Chamber Music, awarded by Conservatoire Municipal du 10ème Arrondissement de Paris. *The 1st Prize, unanimously conferred with congratulations by the Conservatoire Municipal Gabriel Fauré des Lilas. *The 1st Prize with congratulations from the jury of the Conservatoire National de Région de Versailles. *The Artist Certificate by the Bowling Green State University. Wang has also won numerous performing competitions, including: *1st Prize in the Concours International de Saxophone de Nantes. *1st Prize in the Concours International de U.F.A.M. *1st Prize in the Concours de Musique et Art Dramatique Léopold Bellan. *Winner of the 38th Annual Competitions in Music Performance in graduate division in Bowling Green State University.
Currently, Wang is the principal saxophone of National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra wind ensemble and also saxophone instructor in National Taipei University of Education, National Chiayi University and Tunghai University.
