(1)Functions:
Center of Horticulture is a well-equipped and united practical training center with the advantage of preventing funding and resources from duplication and scattering; instead, it can effectively utilize funding and resources to modernize the equipment and cultivate professionals to specialize in mechanization and automation in horticulture. It provides agriculture related information to farmers and professionals of the agriculture field, and serves as information exchange center. Furthermore, it develops and edits teaching materials for benefit of other training centers and agricultural schools.
(2)Benefits:
Center of Horticulture is designed to provide practical training for students of Horticulture or Farm Management majors in all schools, and students of other agriculture related majors on a secondary basis. The center can provide training to over 2000 people from Horticulture and Farm Management majors of 19 agricultural vocational school, one agricultural college, and two vocational schools. Students majoring in Horticulture can receive one week training course per year, students majoring in Farm Management can receive 1/2 week of training course per year. During winter or summer vacation, the center can provide training to 200 farmers.
