Special Education Center
 

The special education center aims to support the teaching and research on special education in the university and in the neighborhood. This Center is established to assist the local governments in Chiayi-Yulin  areas to enhance the services of special education from kindergarten to high school levels to actualize the ideal of education equity and to meet the needs of exceptional children. Accordingly , the major missions of this Center are as follows:

(1) To support the teaching and research on special education ;

(2) To assist the local government in enhancing the  services of special education by participating the diagnosis , classification , and placement for exceptional children ;

(3) To provide consultations on special education ;

(4) To hold workshops and seminars for those teachers from kindergarten to high school levels ;

(5) To collect and publish books and periodicals on special education and to develop the instructional materials for special education ;

(6)To establish the network of special education as the references for those teachers and parents of exceptional children.
