Water-splashing festival celebrated in Taiwan
Taipei, April 11 (CNA) The water-splashing festival, called Songkran in Thai, was held in northern Taiwan's Zhonghe, Taipei County and Taoyuan City on Sunday.
Songkran is the Burmese New Year calendar, in Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, are celebrating the holiday. The significance of splashing water is to pray for good luck, who was the most wet of water poured, the more luck too.(source:CNA News 2010/04/11 20:54:27)

Thai laborers splash in the New Year
