The pilot test of TOP is paper-based and has four different levels : TOP for Beginners, Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. Eligible Applicants are limited to nonnative speakers of Chinese.

For Beginners:

Including listening and reading sections with 80 questions.

Basic/Intermediate/Advanced:

Including listening and reading sections with 100 questions.

6.     Notice:

On the test day, test takers who register the pilot-test can get a coupon for free registration of official TOP test on November 7, 2009. However, each person can only register one level.
