國研院動物中心2015年國際研討會開始報名了

各位學員大家好:

本中心2015年度的國際研討會「實驗豬、兔模式之照護與應用」將於09/01(下午-新竹)、09/02(全日-台南)辦理。

本次研討會請到的講師皆一時之選

1.Michael Swindle老師是位榮譽退休教授,1985-2013年任職於南卡羅萊納醫科大學(the Medical University of South Carolina);實驗動物資源部門的主任;外科部門教授,專長是實驗手術、麻醉、實驗豬的動物模式。曾多次獲獎,且於2013年獲得美國生物材料學會的學術發表傑出獎。

2.Kris Helke老師目前是南卡羅萊納醫科大學(the Medical University of South Carolina)的副教授,2009年至今為獸醫診斷實驗室的主任,2013年至今為比較醫學系的副所長,長年應邀至各地演講。

內容概要：

The National Laboratory Animal Center will organize a 1.5-day short course on Laboratory Swine and Rabbit Care and Use, September 1-2, 2015 in Hsinchu and Tainan, Taiwan.

As human aging population increases worldwide, the demand of medical device becomes more and more obvious. When rodent models cannot be an option, it is necessary to work with middle size animal models, such as swine and rabbit. Swine and rabbit are common models for biomaterial and medical device tests. In this series of courses, you will learn applications and tests commonly performed on swine and rabbits. Meanwhile, aging and neurodegeneration diseases are also a big concern for the current population; one of the speakers will talk through the aging mouse models in research, as well as their related background lesions.

Scientists at all stages of their research careers are welcome.

-M. Michael Swindle, DVM

M. Michael Swindle, DVM is Professor Emeritus since he retired in 2013 as Director, Division of Laboratory Animal Resources and Professor & Chairman in the Department of Comparative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. He also holds a Professorship in the Department of Surgery. He was employed at MUSC since 1985

-Kris Helke DVM, PhD, DACVP

Kris Helke DVM is an Associate Professor at Medical University of South Carolina. She is also the Director of MUSC-VA Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. She has been working on various models, including rabbits, aging rodents and minipigs.

1. 僅受理網路報名，恕不接受現場報名及繳費。http://school.nlac.org.tw/

2. 網路報名時，請填寫可確實接收信件之e-mail帳號，並於報名完成後至個人信箱中點擊連結完成驗證。如您未收到系統驗證信，請來電通知，我們將手動幫您確認會員。

3. 報名學員如欲將上課權利轉移他人，請於8/18前提供被轉移人姓名，以製作其結業證書；逾期恕不受理。

4. 學員本人因未到、遲到/早退超過1小時、未完成簽到，恕不發給證書。

5. 取消報名於8/18前提出，退費70%，相關手續最遲於8/18前完成，逾期恕不予受理。

6. 完成報名驗證之學員需於1週內於便利商店、ATM轉帳或銀行匯款繳費完畢；無法完成確認繳費者，請先行與本中心聯繫，否則視為放棄。

7. 報名費發票將於開課當日交給學員，不得合併發票款項。

9/1 半日授課 – 新竹：學費 1,720元

9/2 全日授課 – 台南：學費 2,780元

注意事項

1. 本中心課程皆備有茶水、咖啡。為響應環保，請學員自行準備環保杯，現場不提供紙杯。

2. 未經本中心允許，請勿拍攝、錄影、錄音。

3. 報名之學員於報到當日皆可取得講師提供之講義版課本，恕不另提供講義PDF或電子版。

4. 如需登入公務人員終身學習入口網站，麻煩在報名時備註此需求，中心人員將做相關程序準備。
